Putem sa fim si unul si altul? Cei mai multi oameni au tendinta de a fi optimisti, uneori, si pesimisti alteori. Diferenta dintre optimism si pesimism este 'huge". Depinde doar de noi daca vrem sa avem o viata mai putin stresanta. A fi pesimist este mult mai usor decat a fi optimist. Gandurile negre isi fac aparitia mult mai repede si mult mai usor decat cele pozitive. De cate ori am tendinta de a gandi negativ, imi aduc aminte de vorba mamei: "daca simti ca ceva va merge prost sau te simti pesimista in legatura cu ceva anume, atunci chiar o sa mearga prost". Acelasi lucru e valabil si invers. Daca simti ca ceva va merge bine, atunci se va intampla exact acel lucru. Aici intervine puterea gandului - <span style="font-style: italic;">gandurile devin lucruri; trebuie doar sa crezi</span>-. E mult mai placut sa te astepti la ce-i mai bun si sa te bucuri de ceea ce-ti ofera viata decat sa iti faci griji in mod constant despre cat de rau sunt sau pot fi lucrurile. Unii au ales atitudinea pesimista si nu le-a adus decat lucruri urate, si totusi ei inca cred ca nu au nimic de-a face cu ei. Din contra, totul se rezuma la ei, la alegerile pe care le fac. Pentru o lunga perioada de timp, am fost si eu sub influenta pesimismului, si am avut rezultate nu tocmai placute. Apoi mi-am dat seama ca am nevoie sa gandesc pozitiv (altfel o sa o iau razna) si am inceput sa imi incarc gandurile cu pozitivism, cu lucruri frumoase, vesele chiar. Ce daca unii imi spun ca sunt poate irealista, visatoare chiar. Este alegerea mea. Nu am ajuns inca acolo unde vreau sa ajung, insa optimismul/gandul pozitiv m-a facut mult mai fericita de-a lungul drumului. Nu ni se mai permite timpul si spatiul de a vorbi, de a ne exprima parerile, convingerile si ideile pana la capat. Suntem intrerupti inainte de a ne termina ideea, pentru ca cealalta persoana sa isi expuna propria opinie asupra ceea ce se vorbeste. Devii vulnerabil, deschis, energic, experimentezi succes, dar si durere. Caci, da, "Love hurts" (sometimes). Iubirea schimba totul. In cautarea marii iubiri, nu observam ca ea se afla chiar in fata noastra. Au "patit-o" multi. O cautam aiurea, lasand in urma inimi frante si oportunitati pierdute. Ceea ce este foarte important este ca iubirea vine in atatea diferite forme: oameni, animale, lucruri, viata. Sa ramai deschis "iubirii" este un "challenge". Dar, numai asa vei putea face fata vietii. Chiar si atunci cand stiu ca eu am dreptate sau ca nu eu sunt cea care a gresit. Acest "to make peace" devine incredibil de important pentru tine, mai ales atunci cand persoana de langa tine iti este foarte draga. Poate ca nu este bine sa lasi de la tine intotdeauna, dar ce frumoasa ti se pare lumea/viata atunci cand o faci! Si asa viata este destul de dificila, de ce sa ti-o mai ingreunezi si tu?
